Abi's birthday morning

Another Philgreen family tradition is to get up in the morning and bring breakfast in bed to the girl (or boy) who is having their birthday that day. Abi was so surprised when we walked in singing.

She couldn't quite figure out what was going on, but she was happy from the beginning.

Amanda got up early and made home made doughnuts on our stove.

If you can't tell Abi loved her breakfast. More sugar for Abigail!

After we had finished with breakfast, Abi opened her presents. (Yes, there were a lot of presents. Amanda went to the dollar store and Wal-mart the day before and bought a couple fun toys. The rest were toys and clothes that we've owned for a while, but had not given to Abi yet.)

One of Abi's favorite toys was her new doll and a disappearing-milk bottle. The rest of the morning she kept feeding her little doll. Then she would hug the doll and pat its back.

Abi's First Birthday

There is a tradition in the Philgreen Family that on the first birthday of each of the children, the baby gets a little chocolate birthday cake to eat all by themselves. Some are cleaner than others. I'm proud to say, my daughter was not clean! She loved that little cake.

We had hoped she would blow out the candle, but we ended up doing it ourselves.

First Bite!

MMMMMMM!!!!

After finishing her cake, we gave her a bath and she received a few gifts from her grandparents and extended family.

Easter Weekend

One of Abi's favorite words right now is "cooooool"

St. Agnes is a Catholic church down the road from us. They had a big Easter egg hunt for kids in the neighborhood. This was Abi's first Easter egg hunt. Surprisingly, she caught on fairly quickly. She carried her own basket, pointed at the eggs, and would walk toward them to pick them up.

On Sunday we watched the last part of the Masters at my parents house before we celebrated Easter with them. Here is Abi with Angel Cabrera who would be come the next Green Jacket owner.

More Easter Egg Hunting!!
